Colour, Connection and Community at Marigold House 💙🧡

It's been another fantastic week at Marigold House, filled with laughter, movement, friendly competition and meaningful connections 😊

Residents and staff were proud to join the Pride celebrations in Leighton Buzzard 🌈, enjoying the opportunity to get out into the community and celebrate inclusivity, diversity and togetherness.

Back at home, there was plenty of fun to be had with a lively game of Bingo 🎲, a Music and Movement session packed with singing, dancing and favourite party tunes 🎶, and a fiercely contested Balloon Tennis tournament 🎈🏆 that had everyone laughing from start to finish.

One of the week's highlights was our intergenerational play session, where residents spent time with local school pupils and younger children. From putting challenges to shared smiles, it was a wonderful reminder of the joy that comes from bringing different generations together 💙

Weeks like these are what life at Marigold House is all about. Staying active, staying connected and making memories together ✨

Another busy and enjoyable week across our homes and schemes 💙🧡✨

Residents have been keeping active, learning new skills and making the most of opportunities to get out and about in the community 😊

A highlight of the week was a retail therapy trip into town, complete with coffee on the high street, plenty of smiles and some fabulous sunglasses 🕶️☕ Shopping trips like these provide a welcome change of scenery and help residents stay connected to the local community and the things they enjoy.

Back at home, residents joined Kerrie for another fantastic armchair exercise session 💪🪑, helping to support mobility, wellbeing and confidence in a fun and inclusive way.

At Marigold House, residents also welcomed volunteers from "You Can Do IT!", who help people build confidence using technology 📱💻. For many residents, these sessions are invaluable for staying connected with family and friends, especially those living further afield.

We were also treated to a fascinating talk from local historian Trevor, who shared the remarkable story of Leighton Buzzard's role during the Second World War 📖🇬🇧. The presentation sparked plenty of conversation and brought back many treasured memories for residents.

And finally, a very happy 89th birthday to Bill at Lavender Court! 🎂🎉 We hope you had a wonderful day celebrating with the team and your fellow residents.

From community outings and exercise sessions to learning opportunities and birthday celebrations, it's been another week full of meaningful moments and smiling faces 💙🧡

Another brilliant week of activities, laughter and celebrations at Marigold House 💙🧡✨

Residents have been keeping active with chair-robics sessions led by our fantastic carer Zoe 💪😊, testing out exciting new games and activities 🎯, and cheering on the Marigold House team “The VE Day Brain Brigade” after their well-earned victory 🏆

We also had a wonderful time celebrating VE Day together 🇬🇧❤️ with music, flags, laughter and plenty of community spirit throughout the home. Seeing residents, staff and visitors come together to mark such an important occasion made the day extra special.

Moments like these are what life at Marigold House is all about - staying active, connected and having fun together ✨
