🌟 What a Fantastic Start to the School Year! 🌟

We have now been back in school for just over a week, and what an incredible start it has been at Leigh St. Peter's CE Primary School!

We are delighted to welcome our new Nursery and Reception children, who have settled into school life brilliantly. It has been wonderful to see them growing in confidence each day, making new friends and embracing all the exciting opportunities that school has to offer.

Across the rest of the school, pupils have moved confidently into their new classes and quickly got stuck into their learning. Every class has shown enthusiasm, perseverance and a positive attitude, setting the tone for what promises to be another fantastic year. We are so proud of how well all of our children have embraced new routines, challenges and opportunities.

We also had our Values Day, where children have spent time exploring the importance of our school values of Love, Integrity, Generosity, Honesty and Trust. These values are at the heart of everything we do, and it has been wonderful to see them already being demonstrated across school through acts of kindness, friendship, responsibility and support for one another. A special thank you to Mrs Balmer for leading and organising such a fantastic Day, helping our children to reflect on and live out these important values.

A special congratulations also goes to our newly appointed Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl and School Prefects. We know they will be excellent role models and ambassadors for our school family throughout the year.

We would also like to thank our families for helping us make such a positive start. Attendance has been exceptionally high this week, demonstrating a real commitment to learning. Every day in school matters, and our children are already showing just how ready they are to achieve their very best.

Most importantly, it has been wonderful to see our school vision of "Let Your LIGHT Shine" already shining through in so many ways. From displaying our Christian values, to showing determination in learning, kindness towards others and pride in our school community, our children have truly embodied what it means to let their light shine brightly for all to see.

🌟Welcome Back! 🌟

We can't wait to welcome all of our wonderful children back to school tomorrow for the start of an exciting new school year!

A new year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, make friends and create fantastic memories together. Our staff have been busy preparing classrooms and learning environments ready for another year of fun, challenge and success.

To help everyone get off to the best possible start, please remember the importance of arriving at school on time each day and wearing the correct school uniform. Being punctual and ready to learn helps children settle quickly and make the most of every moment of their school day.

Most importantly, we are looking forward to seeing all of those smiling faces back through our doors and hearing about the adventures you've had over the summer holidays.

Here's to a fantastic year ahead filled with learning, achievement and opportunities to let our LIGHT shine! ✨

Who is excited for the solar eclipse and meteor showers tonight? If you miss it today, you will have to wait quite a while for a total solar eclipse on British soil. The next total solar eclipse will not be visible from the UK until 23 September 2090!

Yesterday was a truly special day as Miss Taylor became Mrs Battersby! ❤️

On behalf of everyone at Leigh St. Peter’s C.E. Primary School, we would like to wish the happy couple every joy and happiness as they begin this exciting new chapter together.

The bride looked absolutely stunning, the groom looked incredibly smart, and together they made a wonderful couple. However, we think it's fair to say that their beautiful children may just have stolen the show! 🥰 What a gorgeous family they make.

We are delighted for you all and hope your future is filled with love, laughter, happiness, and many wonderful memories together.

☀️ A Summer Message from Leigh St. Peter’s C.E. Primary School ☀️

As another wonderful school year comes to an end, we would like to wish all of our children, families and staff a very happy, restful and enjoyable summer holiday.

We are incredibly proud of everything our children have achieved this year. From learning new skills and making new friendships to showing kindness, resilience and determination, each and every child has helped make Leigh St. Peter’s such a special place to learn and grow.

As you enjoy the summer break, please remember to stay safe:
💛 Be careful around water and always follow safety guidance.
💛 Wear sun cream and stay hydrated during hot weather.
💛 Stay safe when travelling, cycling and playing outdoors.
💛 Be kind to one another and make wonderful family memories.

A special thank you and farewell to our fantastic
Year 6 pupils as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their journey. We are so proud of the young people you have become and know you will continue to let your light shine in your new schools. We wish you every success and happiness for the future.

We loved spending quality time with our grown-ups, playing fun games with our friends, and enjoying some delicious treats together. 🍦 🍰 🎈

🌟 Year 6 Fun at Howe Bridge Leisure Centre! 🌟

Our Year 6 children had an amazing time at Howe Bridge Leisure Centre yesterday! 🎉 They enjoyed exploring the soft play area 🛝, challenging themselves on the climbing walls 🧗, and showing off their skills at the skate park 🛹.

Throughout the visit, the children played brilliantly, supported one another, and represented our school with excellent behaviour and fantastic teamwork. 🌟 We are so proud of the way they conducted themselves and the positive attitude they showed all day. 👏💙
