On Tuesday, our Year 5 and 6 girlsβ football team took part in the Southend United Community tournament and represented the school brilliantly throughout the day.
The girls were also lucky enough to play at Roots Hall, the home stadium of Southend United F.C., which made the experience even more exciting and memorable for everyone involved.
For some of the girls, this was their very first experience of playing in a football tournament, but you would never have known! The team played with great determination, enthusiasm and teamwork in every match.
Across the tournament, the girls experienced a mixture of wins, draws and losses, yet their positive attitude and encouragement towards one another never faded. They continued to work hard, support each other and play with smiles on their faces from start to finish.
Most importantly, the team showed fantastic sportsmanship and should all be incredibly proud of their efforts and performances.
Well done, girls β you were a credit to the school and you should be so very proud of yourselves! πβ½
