On Tuesday, our Year 5 and 6 girls’ football team took part in the Southend United Community tournament and represented the school brilliantly throughout the day.

The girls were also lucky enough to play at Roots Hall, the home stadium of Southend United F.C., which made the experience even more exciting and memorable for everyone involved.

For some of the girls, this was their very first experience of playing in a football tournament, but you would never have known! The team played with great determination, enthusiasm and teamwork in every match.

Across the tournament, the girls experienced a mixture of wins, draws and losses, yet their positive attitude and encouragement towards one another never faded. They continued to work hard, support each other and play with smiles on their faces from start to finish.

Most importantly, the team showed fantastic sportsmanship and should all be incredibly proud of their efforts and performances.

Well done, girls – you were a credit to the school and you should be so very proud of yourselves! 👏⚽

Our Year 6 pupils recently took part in the exciting Quad Kids athletics competition, which challenges competitors across four different events: a 70m sprint, howler throw, standing long jump and 600m run.

The children performed brilliantly across all disciplines, showing great versatility, determination and team spirit throughout the event. Competing against strong opposition, they worked incredibly hard and supported one another every step of the way.

Their efforts resulted in a very respectable 7th place overall out of 22 schools, which is a fantastic achievement in such a competitive field.

The event was a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience a range of athletic events – and who knows, perhaps it will inspire some of them to one day take on the decathlon or heptathlon!

Well done to all involved – you should be very proud of yourselves! 👏

Today saw a year 4 and a year 6 team take part in the Tennis tournament held at Garon’s and hosted by the SPSSA.
The match skilll and talent was of a high standard and some great tennis was on show. Unfortunately, both squads didn’t qualify for the final round, but the children should be extremely proud of their efforts. Fantastic CHJS ambassadors. Thank you to those parents who were able to come out and support. 💙👍🎾🙌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Good evening everybody. Chalkwell Run Club starts up again tomorrow. It would be so wonderful to see anyone who would like to start their day off in the best possible way. The club is suitable for people of ALL abilities and it would be so wonderful to see some new faces (walk, jog, run, crawl). I will be in the park, aiming to start by 8am. It also looks as though the sun may be out, therefore making it a perfect way to start your Friday! Come on, you know you want to… See you in the morning. Mr Smale 🐌

Yesterday afternoon, 4 boys took part in the SPSSA Golf tournament held at Garons. Competition standard was high. Sadly no medals but as you can see they had a blast! Well done for being excellent Chalky ambassadors and big thank you to the parents and our chair of governors for supporting and transporting. 🙏👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙🏌️🏌️‍♂️⛳️
