LEV have been busy at Victoria Park Nature Area, crown-lifting the large central spinney and removing blackthorn suckers along the western edge.

This work will help to open up the space, allowing more light through and encouraging a greater variety of wildflowers, insects and other wildlife. 🦋🌱

LEV have been out at Shady Lane Arboretum recently, removing blockages from the brook to help improve water flow and support natural flood relief.

The work also helps create a healthier environment for local wildlife, while keeping the brook flowing more freely.🐸

Following concerns raised by park users about motorbikes and electric bikes being used in Braunstone Park, our Parks Rangers joined local PCSOs to help install warning signs around the park.

The signs are a reminder to all visitors to use the park responsibly and help keep it a safe and enjoyable space for everyone. 🌳

On Sunday, the Leicester's Best Allotment Plot winners will be presented with their awards.

Belgrave Lock has had a much-needed clean-up!🛶

Working alongside the Canal & River Trust, Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre and our own Leicester Environmental Volunteers, we tackled the litter that had built up around the lock.

Volunteers worked together both on land and out on the water, removing an amazing:

🗑️ 53 bags of litter & 6 large items

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make a difference to our waterways! 👏

Open from approximately 12:30-16:00 on all dates. Just £1.50 per ride and accompanied under 5’s go free! We accept cash and card payments.
