Hi everyone
I’ve created this group because I couldn’t find anything similar around here.
I moved from Liverpool to Hinckley about six months ago, and I’ve been finding it really hard to make friends. I’ve tried joining clubs and activities, but most of the people I meet are at a very different stage of life; often with kids around my age! Because Hinckley isn’t a city, there doesn’t seem to be any kind of young professionals’ groups or social meet-ups.
More than anything, I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone else feels the same way. I know many people have lived here their whole lives, but surely there must be others who have either moved here recently or just never found it easy to make new friends.
I’m honestly fed up of playing Candy Crush alone on a Friday night so I’d love to start something fun; maybe a pub quiz group, some casual meet-ups, or dog walks (no dog required, you can always come and meet mine; he’s lovely).
