A widely common phrase we have all heard of: "Knowledge is Power"
Admittedly, this phrase can find its roots in Michel Foucault's Power and Knowledge Theory, but that is an oversimplification for his theory.
That being said, the phrase knowledge is power can ring true when thinking about practice and how we all started knowing very little about Social Work Practice and we share our knoweldge with the families we work with, thus empowering them to become the facilitators of change themselves.
