🚓 Welcome to Stoneygate, Sergeant Parr! 👮‍♂️

We would like to warmly welcome Police Sergeant 4057 Parr to the Stoneygate Ward. Since joining the team, he has certainly hit the ground running! 💨

Sergeant Parr has already played a key role in an enforcement operation at a local convenience store, where stolen goods from supermarkets across the area were recovered. 🛒🚔

He has also attended a drugs warrant at an address on College Street and is committed to tackling this type of criminal activity to help keep our neighbourhoods safe. 👊🏠

Just this week, Sergeant Parr has been out on foot around the ward, visiting local businesses and speaking with shop owners about the enforcement work being carried out. 🏪🚶‍♂️ He has been providing advice on how to identify and report anyone attempting to sell stolen goods for resale on shop shelves.

Sergeant Parr is passionate about maintaining a visible presence on the beat and engaging with the community. 🤝 He is keen to listen to local residents, better understand the issues that matter most, and work together to make Stoneygate an even safer place to live, work and visit. 💙

Community Engagement | Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel

PCSO 6125 Sonigra and PCSO 6153 Arichandra were pleased to attend the Blessed Virgin Mary Celebration Feast hosted by the Daman Christian community at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel.

Officers engaged with attendees and provided a visible reassurance presence throughout the event. It was great to see such a well-attended celebration, bringing members of the community together in a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

The event concluded peacefully and without incident, with no issues of concern reported.

Earlier this week, PCSO Arichandra and PCSO Meerun held a local officer drop in at Evington Library.

It was a positive session with good engagement from both staff and visitors, and no concerns or issues were raised.

Today, PC 1527 joined forces with the General Hospital security team for some joint patrols around the hospital grounds, tackling anti - social behaviour that is taking place in and around the Hospital grounds 👮‍♂️🤝👮‍♀️

Working together helps us keep the area safe, share information, address concerns, and provide a friendly visible presence for patients, visitors, and staff. 😊

A huge thank you to the hospital security team for their continued support and partnership.

🚔 Working Together to Tackle Shop Theft 🚔

This morning, the local Beat Team and PC 1661 visited Sainsbury's on London Road to discuss ongoing efforts to tackle shop theft and support local businesses. 🛒🤝

Recently, the Beat Team targeted a local convenience store where thousands of pounds worth of suspected stolen stock from Sainsbury's stores across the city was recovered. Following this, officers visited a number of businesses in the area to highlight the consequences of purchasing stolen goods and profiting from criminal activity. ⚖️

This work will continue across the wider area as we engage with local retailers, raise awareness of the issues surrounding handling stolen goods, and encourage businesses to report any information they may have to the police. 🏪📞

Shop theft affects businesses, staff, and the wider community. By working together, we can help reduce offending and make our neighbourhoods safer places to live, work, and shop. ✅

If you have information about shop theft or the handling of stolen goods, please report it via 101, online through the Leicestershire Police website, or anonymously through Crimestoppers. 👮‍♂️
