⚖️🚔 Warrant Executed & Suspect Arrested 🚔 ⚖️

Teamwork makes the dream work! Today, St Matthew’s beat officer PC Whitehead, with the fantastic support of the Belgrave Neighbourhood Policing Team, tracked down, arrested, and transported a wanted male to police custody, where his detention was authorised.

This was a brilliant cross-border effort. We have been assisting Glasgow Police in locating this individual, who had failed to appear for his court case up in Scotland. Thanks to today's swift action, he is now safely in the cells and will be attending the next available court in Glasgow to answer for his actions.

The takeaway? You can run, and you can try to hide, but if the courts issue a warrant for your arrest, you will be found and you will be arrested.

It really is quite simple: don’t commit crime, and you won’t need to attend court. It's that easy.

Excellent collaborative work today by everyone involved to get this result!

While out on patrol, Belgrave beat officers 1327 / 6196 working alongside the City Wardens came across a vehicle that raised immediate concerns due to its condition.
The vehicle was identified as not roadworthy, posing a potential risk to other road users and the local community. Following checks, appropriate action was taken and the vehicle was removed from the road.
This is a great example of partnership working in action, helping to keep our streets safe, reduce hazards, and maintain standards for everyone using our roads ✅

If you spot a vehicle you believe to be unsafe or abandoned...please report it to your local council or speak to your neighbourhood policing team.
