Optical beam smoke detection is an effective fire detection solution for large, open areas such as warehouses, industrial units, atriums and high-ceiling spaces.
Fireserv UK recently carried out an installation of optical beam smoke detection, helping provide wide-area coverage where traditional point detectors may not always be the most practical option.
Beam detectors use an infrared light path to monitor for smoke across a protected space, making them well suited to environments with high ceilings, large floor areas and challenging access for maintenance.
