Just a friendly reminder that we will be closed for my annual holiday from Monday 15th June to Friday 19th June inclusive.

We will reopen as normal on Monday 22nd June.

☀️ WEATHER UPDATE ☀️
With the weather being so hot this week, we want to make sure all children stay safe, cool and comfortable while enjoying lots of fun activities, especially our water play! 💦

Can all children please arrive with sun cream already applied. This really helps us as you can imagine it’s a mission applying different creams to lots of children 😊

Please also send sun cream in your child’s bag so it can be reapplied when needed, especially after water play.

👕 Please dress children in suitable clothing & footwear:
• Shorts
• T-shirts
• Crocs/sandals

🎒 Please send:
• A change of clothes or swimwear
• Swimwear must cover shoulders OR please provide a T-shirt to go over swimwear to avoid sunburn
• A towel for drying off after water play

💦 We will have water play available all week to help keep children cool and happy.

💧 Fresh cold drinking water will be available all day
🌳 Shaded outdoor areas available
❄️ Air conditioning on indoors
🍉 Fresh fruits such as melon to help keep hydration levels up

🌞 Reminder for all parents 🌞

We will be closed this Friday for our holiday, and Monday is a Bank Holiday, so we will reopen on Tuesday 😊

Also, a reminder that our government funded hours children break up this Thursday for half term next week.

For families who pay for school holiday sessions, we are still open Tuesday–Friday next week as normal 📚🎨

🌞 Warm Weather Reminder 🌞

With the warmer weather arriving, we’re looking forward to lots of outdoor play! To help keep all children safe and comfortable, please can we ask:

☀️ Sun cream to be brought in bags every day
☀️ Sun cream to be applied before drop-off
☀️ A sun hat to be worn
☀️ Spare clothes, including swimwear that covers shoulders
☀️ A towel for water play

We do have canopies in the garden to provide shade, but as the sun moves throughout the day, some areas may have less shade at times.

💦 We’ll also have water play out to help keep the children cool, and all children will have access to drinking water throughout the day to stay hydrated.

🌍💚 Happy Earth Day 2026! 💙🌱

This morning, we got creative and a little messy with a lovely Earth Day activity! The children made their own “world in our hands” using blue and green paint to create beautiful handprint Earths 🌎🖐️

We talked about looking after our planet, being kind to nature, and how even small hands can make a big difference. The children had so much fun exploring colours, textures, and expressing themselves through art.

✨ Valentine’s sensory play in our new light-up tuff tray ✨

Today the children explored our sensory rice tray filled with scoops, textures, colours, and sparkly hearts. This type of play is not only fun and calming — it supports so many important learning goals for children aged 1–4 years:

❤️ Developing fine motor skills through scooping, pouring, and grasping💜 Exploring textures to build sensory awareness❤️ Encouraging curiosity and independent exploration💜 Supporting early language as we talk about colours, shapes, and feelings❤️ Building concentration and problem-solving skills💜 Promoting sharing and social interaction

The glowing tray adds an extra sense of wonder, inviting children to engage, explore, and learn through play.
