Stolen Electric Bike Recovered in Little London

Officers from the Leeds District Off Road Bike Team were assisting NPT and other colleagues as part of a proactive operation targeting illegal and anti-social riding in the Little London area.

During patrols, a Sur-ron was sighted being ridden at speed. As officers moved in, the rider abandoned the bike and made off, leaving the vehicle behind.

A search of the area led to the recovery of the bike, along with suspected controlled substances discarded nearby.

Checks confirmed the Sur-ron had been stolen from the North Yorkshire area.

The vehicle was seized, and enquiries remain ongoing to identify those involved.

A clear example of coordinated policing activity leading to the disruption of offending and recovery of stolen property.

Officers from the North West Outer team have recently arrested a male at an address in the Yeadon area.

✅ The male has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon
✅ He has been bailed to attend court

A highly productive day with officers delivering strong results across the area 👇

🔹 Scooter Pursuit (City Centre → Pontefract Lane)

Officers quickly responded to suspicious activity, leading to a pursuit of a two-up scooter through the city.
✅ Driver arrested for multiple offences including dangerous driving and drug possession
✅ Passenger arrested and recalled to prison

The pair were initially sighted near the University and are believed to have been in the area potentially targeting bikes. The incident resulted in a well-managed pursuit and a positive outcome.

🔹 Stolen Surron Recovered (Carlton Area)

A suspected stolen Surron was sighted and recovered after the rider fell and made off.
✅ Bike confirmed stolen from North Yorkshire
✅ Around 20 wraps of Class A drugs seized
❗ Suspect remains outstanding

🔹 Drugs & Cash Seizure

Following a fail-to-stop, three individuals were arrested.
✅ Half a kilo of cannabis recovered
✅ Around £5,000 cash seized
✅ Arrests made for supply offences and POCA

👏 A great team effort leading to multiple arrests, drugs off the streets, and continued disruption of criminal activity.

Suspected Stolen Bike Recovered in Yeadon

Information from the community has led officers from the Leeds District Off Road Bike Team to a motorbike hidden inside a garage in the Yeadon area.

The bike showed clear signs of theft-related damage, however officers were unable to immediately identify the vehicle.

The motorbike has now been recovered and sent for further examination by the Vehicle Identification Unit (VIU) to establish its identity and ownership.

Another example of how information from the public can assist in recovering suspected stolen vehicles.

Successful PACT Meeting this week

You Said – Youths causing anti – social behaviour around the Wynford’s

We Did – Over the past six weeks patrols have been conducted, and no anti-social behaviour has been witnessed. Officers will continue to patrol the area.

We Did - Over the past six weeks officers from the Neighbourhood Policing team have provided high visibility patrols at all times of the day. There have been no reports of anti – social behaviour. Officers will continue to patrol the area

New PACT priorities

• Vehicles exceeding the speed limit in the Tinshill area
• Vehicles parking on the pavement on Weetwood lane outside the cafés.
