Do you want to try your hand at a water sport and celebrate two incredible milestones? π
This weekend marks 20 years since Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre first set sail on Yeadon Tarn. To mark this special occasion and support city-wide efforts to celebrate 400 years of Leeds receiving its first City Charter, the team will be hosting an open day and are looking for adventurous locals to take on a very special challenge: complete 400 laps of the tarn.
Taking place this Saturday (6 June), visitors (age 8+) can take part in sailing, kayaking, or paddleboarding β with a team of qualified instructors on hand throughout the day. Doors will open at 9am and the centre team will be counting every lap made until the end of the open day at 1pm.
Sessions cost Β£10 per person for a 45-minute session. And if you prefer solid ground, archery and indoor caving are also available.
The Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre is located at Cemetery Road, LS19 7UP. To book your open day session, visit https://monkeylink.co/a6826f
