Beat the Heat

Harehills is at risk of overheating!
Find out why our houses are getting warmer and what we can do to protect our health and improve wellbeing across Harehills.
Discover why the lack of trees and green spaces is a greater risk for Harehills, turning the whole area hotter into an 'Urban Heat Island' where higher temperatures are leading to more issues with pests and waste management.

The event will include:
● Talks with Q&A sessions – meet our guest speakers, including the Leeds Beckett University researchers
● Community ideas session
● Exhibition
● Information stalls and giveaways
● Children’s activities
● Free food and a raffle

*Free entry and food, but you must register (Link below) so we can accurately plan catering.
**Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult.
