We can't wait for Leeds Lit Fest to start next week! 👇

Leeds Lit Fest returns next week, and Leeds Libraries are hosting two fantastic events for book lovers and writers to enjoy 📖

On Saturday 6 June, senior librarian Stu Hennigan will be joined by a panel of award-winning writers for a discussion all around the art of the short story.

And on Saturday 13 June, Hebden Bridge-based publisher Bluemoose Books will be celebrating their 20th birthday with a special two-part event that will include interviews, readings, and more.

Both events are taking place at Leeds Central Library, with tickets priced at pay what you can afford (£6 suggested donation). For more information and to book tickets, visit the links in the comments 👇

We're hosting a birthday party! 🥳

This year marks legendary Hebden Bridge publisher Bluemoose Books' twentieth birthday.

Since being founded in 2006 they've published an amazing range of work, including many that have been listed for or won big literary prizes, and some of which - such as The Gallows Pole by Benjamin Myers and Ronan Hession's Leonard and Hungry Paul - have become widely acknowledged as modern classics.

This special two-part event includes Bluemoose supremo Kevin Duffy being interviewed by writer and Senior Librarian Stu Hennigan, plus short readings from Bluemoose writers Simon Crump, Sharon Duggal and Rob Potts, and a general discussion with them about their experiences working with the press, and their writing life in general.
