Big Ted is feeling bear‑illiantly colourful today — especially because he’s snuggled up with his purple Five Bears book, which he says is the paw‑fect way to start a rainbow adventure.

🔴 Red book — bold and bright
🟠 Orange book — warm and cheerful
🟡 Yellow book — sunshine on a shelf
🟢 Green book — leafy, grassy, monster‑y
🔵 Blue book — oceans, skies, adventures
🟣 Purple book — Big Ted’s favourite today… because he’s reading his purple Five Bears book and feeling bear‑y proud of himself

📚🐾 Big Ted is doing his bear‑iest excited wiggle because the Library Challenge finishes in September — and he doesn’t want anyone to miss out.

He’s been reminding every reader (very paw‑litely) that it’s time to finish your tasks, complete your reading, and pop into Lechlade Library to collect your rewards.🌈📚

Today’s the day, Lechlade! 🌸

The Flower & Produce Show is underway in the Memorial Hall, and the public can come and enjoy the displays from 2pm onwards — flowers, fruit, veg, crafts, cakes and all the creativity our community has been busy preparing.

And while you’re there, you can also drop into the CPR & defibrillator training. It’s running until 4.30pm, completely free, and a brilliant chance to learn a skill that could save a life.

A wonderful way to enjoy the day and support our community at the same time 💛

Come and learn all about Kelmscott Manor’s ‘Threads of the Past’ tapestry project this coming Thursday in one of our 15-minute Tapestry Talks, delivered by one of our expert volunteers.

Discover why Kelmscott’s rare 17th century tapestries were so important to Morris and why we’re conserving them. Gain a glimpse behind the scenes at Kelmscott Manor. Talks are free, no need to pre-book and will be delivered at 11:15 & 13:15 in the Learning Barn. Head to our website to find out more.
