🎉 Super Saturday this weekend🎉

It was a big day yesterday for our community with two fantastic events bringing people together 💙

🏛️ kicked things off by celebrating 100 years of Coleshill Town Hall — a proud milestone in local history. Delighted to join the new Mayor, Cllr Michael Ford-Terry, for this special occasion marking a century at the heart of community life.

🎪 Then it was over to the Ryton Festival Family Fun Day for an afternoon packed with fun! Expect great food, activities for all ages, and a brilliant community atmosphere.

✨ A perfect mix of heritage, celebration and family fun — exactly what a Super Saturday should be!

I really enjoyed meeting Harminder and the team at Satkaar Asian Elders Day Care Services in Leamington Spa 💛

It’s inspiring to see such a welcoming, culturally appropriate space supporting the elderly community across South Warwickshire. From daily meals to social activities and mental health support, the centre plays a vital role in helping people stay connected and cared for.

Services like this make a real difference in our communities — thank you to everyone involved 👏

Remembering Randolph "Randy" Turpin (1928–1966) 60 years after his passing. A British boxing legend famously remembered as "The Leamington Licker". Born in Leamington Spa, he made history on July 10, 1951, by defeating the legendary American Sugar Ray Robinson to become the undisputed world middleweight champion. He was Britain's first Black world boxing champion and a pioneering sporting hero.

Today, he is widely recognized as a trailblazer who broke down racial barriers in British sport, paving the way for future generations of athletes. A permanent bronze statue of him stands in Market Square in Warwick, serving as a reminder of his contributions to boxing.
