Restoration of a Lost Cornish 18th Century Walled Garden

Restoration of a Lost Cornish 18th Century Walled Garden This page will follow the slow gradual restoration of a rare 1.5 acre walled kitchen garden. We would love to hear from anyone with an interest in this project.

It was built in the 18th century and was used right up to about 1946. It is now completely overgrown and the 12 foot high walls are now dilapidated. This page will record the slow gradual restoration of a rare 1.5 acre walled kitchen garden. As quite an early and classic example of its type, it is hoped its history can be slowly revealed and conserved. Cornwall is a county well known for its rich

garden history and hopefully this garden will find its place within it. It is also hoped that where possible, the atmosphere of this 'lost secret garden' is not totally lost in restoration. If you have expertise or experience in any aspect of such a project please do get in touch.
