When Dylan Thomas first visited Laugharne in 1934 he described it in a letter as "the strangest town in Wales" and in 2014 when reviewing the May festival The Guardian wrote "it would be a challenge to find anywhere stranger".
The festival of September 19th-21st will explore to challenge this strangeness through Welsh music, film, folklore and of course it's writers.
Among the musical acts playing at Laugharne will be Gruff Rhys, Cate Le Bon, Young Marble Giants, Llwybr Llaethog, Sweet Baboo, R Seiliog, Gwenno and Trwbador.
Writers will include Howard Marks and Molly Parkin and there will be events on William Price and Arthur Machen.
As always Dylan Thomas looms large and his granddaughter Hannah Ellis will be introducing her book on Dylan which is to be published by Bloomsbury.
The strangeness of Wales will be examined through the medium of film with films either shot or based in Wales. There will also be a celebration of "Twin Town" surely the greatest of modern Welsh films.
There will be an exhibition of Welsh folklore featuring artefacts from West Wales museums.
Several more events will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
