🇬🇧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗦 🇬🇧

As I arrive in Westminster today, I do so proud and confident in Northern Ireland’s place within the United Kingdom, and utterly defiant in the face of Sinn Fein’s tired republican fantasy.

🙄 Michelle O’Neill, the joint First Minister, is away to another part of the United Kingdom to talk into an echo chamber and sign a document as meaningful as a million-dollar cheque.

Unionism and our proud Protestant heritage are alive and well. On Friday night in Banbridge, we saw again just how strong our marching bands culture is. It is not merely surviving, it is growing, with new bands forming and taking to the streets.

We have just enjoyed one of the most successful marching seasons in years. Our culture is growing year on year and reaching people far beyond the traditional unionist community.

Those who talk us down do so out of fear. The Drumcree court case showed that unionism is standing up again. We will no longer allow ourselves to be pushed around at the whim of nationalists and republicans.

Northern Ireland is not Michelle O’Neill’s to give away. The Union stands stronger today than ever it did. 🇬🇧

Clear evidence - state of the Union is strong.

The fixation on border polls ramps up again after Donald Trump’a comments. We should actually focus on getting things done here. But facts matter and the relentless claims that there is a shift in opinion towards a united Ireland are simply wrongg.

Across every year from 2021 to 2025, the Northern Ireland Life and Times Survey shows substantially greater support for remaining in the United Kingdom than for a united Ireland.

In 2025, 48.4% supported remaining in the UK compared with 30.7% supporting a united Ireland. The pro-Union lead widened from 16.1 to 17.7 points.

That may not suit the prevailing narrative, but evidence is evidence.

There can be no complacency. Positive unionist leadership must build on that support by making Northern Ireland work, turning peace into prosperity and securing our Union.

It’s time to focus on fixing things and creating opportunities.
