Larbert Community Fire Station

We were delighted to welcome the 1st Tulliallan Company Boys Brigade & Girls Association to Larbert station for a visit this week.

During the visit, the group were given a tour of the station, had the opportunity to look at our PPE and equipment, and learned more about the role of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the wide range of incidents we attend. We also discussed the importance of water safety and fire safety within the home.

The children were extremely enthusiastic throughout the visit and asked lots of great questions, showing a real interest in the work we do within the community.

A big thank you to the leaders and children for taking the time to visit us — we hope you all enjoyed your evening at the station.

A massive thank you to STEP Scotland for their hospitality and for providing a facility for yesterday evening’s Breathing Apparatus training exercise with Larbert On-Call.

Having access to an unoccupied building in Stirling gave our crew a valuable opportunity to run realistic, scenario-based training. It allowed firefighters to practice essential BA skills in a safe but challenging environment, building confidence, teamwork, communication, and operational readiness.

Partnerships like this are vital for keeping our communities safe. We’re grateful to STEP Scotland for supporting our emergency services.

We are in attendance at a well-developed fire within a factory in the town of Cowie, near Stirling.

Operations Control has mobilised seven appliances to the town's Station Road, where firefighters remain working to extinguish a well-developed fire.

People living within Cowie are asked to avoid the area and to keep windows and doors closed.
