Our school is situated in an idyllic location in the Forest of Bowland, within an area of outstanding natural beauty, and at the centre of the village of Abbeystead. It was founded by William Cawthorne in 1664 and has been educating children ever since. We are proud of our small size (maximum of 6 children per year group) as this means children rece

ive individual attention which is modified to their needs, and are educated within a supportive, family atmosphere. We carefully monitor every child’s progress and give support to children when needed so we ensure everyone makes progress. Community is important to us and every child has a valuable contribution to make. Please contact us and make an appointment to come and see us at work.

This afternoon, our pupil voice travelled to Cockerham to take part in pupil parliament activities based around the theme of aspirations.

There is no stay & play tomorrow, but we will be back in July 😊 our children will be doing a sponsored swim for funds for school on 25th June during our normal school swimming, school children have a sponsor form in their bags 😊👏

Huge thanks to our Pupil Voice for organising this years Easter Bingo, we had such a fantastic morning. Thank you to our families for sending in eggs on our recent non-uniform day, all eggs have been won with every child taking a prize of their choosing home ⭐️ wishing everyone a lovely Easter 🐣
