At today’s full council meeting

Today, the joint Labour and Independent Administration that runs Cheshire East Council will set out their budget for 2026/27. This includes proposals to spend £40m on their failed Transformation Programme, borrow £708k for vanity projects and playing politics on the rates, and to borrow another £25m just to pay for day to day services. Cheshire East Conservatives are the official opposition on Cheshire East Council, and will be setting our our own budget proposals.

📵 HELP PROTECT CHILDREN FROM ONLINE HARMS 📵

Many parents in Knutsford have written to Esther about some of the content their children are being exposed to online and the damage smartphones and social media do to childhood.

Parents across Britain are already taking action to limit internet access and screen time but they need a helping hand. We need to back parents and support them in changing culture.

That's why we are urging Labour to introduce a ban on social media for under-16s.
