What has the mayor been up to? Well, this is edition is all about communioty, and what a great community Knutsford is!

🏴‍☠️ ARRR, what a treasure of a summer! 🏴‍☠️

A huge thank you to all the wonderful children who took part, we hope you had as much fun hunting for treasure as we did organising this.

THANK YOU to the fantastic local businesses who sponsored and supported the event. Your generosity helped make this treasure hunt possible, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

The winner of the Grand Prize will be contacted tomorrow.

A special mention has to go to our brilliant Mayor, Cllr Peter Coan who looked amazing (and just a little bit silly! ) as Pirate Pete! Now we just need to get him back in regular clothing...

Did you know that as first citizen of Knutsford, the Town Mayor fulfils an ambassadorial and ceremonial role representing the town.

The mayor is invited to attend around 150 events every year, ranging from opening fetes and new shops, attending community events and representing the town at events such as the North West in Bloom awards.

Town Mayor, Cllr Coan, had a great time at Cranford Grange "Taste of Home Summer Food Festival".

He enjoyed chatting with Margot, one of the residents who is an incredible 100 years old, and catching up with Bill, who he knows from Knutsford Men's Shed.
