COMMUNITY/CONNECTION/HOPE

Some of our Addy team popped down to the Saviour Trust Hub in Pontefract last week to hear more about some of the local, heart warming ideas which are coming to life.

We left feeling so inspired and lifted by their beautiful work, ideas and vision for the newly refurbished hub.

We love it when local projects come together,
We had some really positive conversations about how the Addy might be able to work alongside the Hub to support families experiencing crisis, creating more opportunities for people to feel valued and connected.

A lovely afternoon full of hopeful conversations and meaningful possibilities for Pontefract/Knottingley.

Five years ago, we lost one of our lovely Addy lads, Jayden.

He was very loved , and his beaming smile, laughter and joy left a special place in all our hearts.

A bench was made beneath the trees at The Addy so his friends had somewhere they could sit, chat and have space.

Five years on, that bench is still full of life. Every year, his family hang a wreath above it, and we take a moment to remember his beautiful face and the happiness he brought to us ❤️❤️

This week we had a lovely visit from Alex, one of our Funding Officers from The National Lottery Community Fund.

We are incredibly grateful for the support we receive through the Reaching Communities programme.

We simply wouldn’t be able to do what we do without this amazing funding.

It’s a real privilege to welcome our funders onto site and give them a glimpse into the work we do, the children and families we support, and the difference their funding makes to our community every single day.
