A message on behalf of Hannah at BBC Radio York.

โ€œWeโ€™re looking to speak with anyone in Knaresborough who has been involved in the Bed Race over the past 60 years โ€” whether youโ€™ve taken part as a runner, helped with organisation and setup, supported it behind the scenes, or have family memories of being involved over the years.

Weโ€™re especially keen to hear family stories, personal anecdotes and recollections that help build a picture of how the event has grown and changed through the decades.

If you have anything youโ€™d be happy to share, please do get in touch before Wednesday 03/06/26.

Where better to understand the history of the Bed Race than from the people whoโ€™ve lived it, shaped it and kept it going all these years.โ€

We are very excited to announce our much loved Party in the Castle line up. Unfortunately Glastonbury is not on this year so with lots of help from the team at FML we are very happy to say we are having live DJโ€™s and an all local team to put on our free community event.
Supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority as part of the Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund, organised by Knaresborough Chamber thank you Knaresborough Community Hub.
