Unfortunately, a number of plants have been removed (stolen) from the freshly planted troughs along the High Street.

These displays are provided and maintained for the benefit of the whole community, with public funds used to purchase the plants, compost and materials required to keep them looking their best.

We would therefore ask residents to please leave the plants in place so that everyone can continue to enjoy them throughout the summer.

If anyone has any information regarding the removal of the plants, please contact the Parish Council office.

Thank you to the many residents who have already commented positively on this year's displays and to our Warden for his hard work in planting and maintaining them.

Please note that the next meeting of the Council will take place on Tuesday 23 June.

Kings Langley Parish Council is aware of the recent article in Kings News regarding flower beds and planting around the village.

At the time the comments were made, the village troughs had not yet been planted out due to the continuing risk of frost. Planting too early could have resulted in the plants being damaged or lost, creating unnecessary waste of residents’ money. The troughs have now all been planted by the Village Warden, with a really impactful display. This work included the full removal of the old compost and replacement with new compost.

The Council can also confirm that Sunnyside Rural Trust has been appointed to plant out the two flower beds at Great Park, with work due to commence towards the end of June.

The Parish Council welcomes feedback from residents on parish activities. The easiest way you to share comments or raise any concerns is to call us on 01923 261828, or pop into the Parish Council office for a chat between 9:30am and 12:30pm, Monday to Friday.
