King's Lynn's Renaissance books. What will you discover?

📖 The new King's Lynn Library is home to one of the town's least known, but most astonishing treasures: a library of about 2,000 early printed books.

📖 Join us on Saturday 13th June from 10am - 3pm for a unique chance to turn these books' pages, with the guidance of members of the Unlocking the Archive project team from the University of East Anglia.

📖 This is a free, drop in event taking place on the top floor of the library. Stay for as little or as long as you like to explore these incredible historic books for yourself!

Shine a light on accessible reading!

It’s Hi Vis Fortnight (1st–14th June), and Norfolk County Council Libraries are celebrating all the fantastic ways we make reading accessible for everyone.

Whether you or someone you know has a vision impairment, a print disability, or simply prefers a different way to enjoy a great story, our libraries are packed with brilliant alternative formats.

If you're in the area, pop in and check out the dedicated Hi Vis Fortnight display. The team has curated a wonderful selection of resources ready for you to discover and borrow, including:

Audiobooks (perfect for listening on the go or relaxing at home)
Large Print books (making reading clearer and more comfortable)
eAudio and eBooks via our digital apps

Reading is all about the joy of the story, not just the format it's in. Let’s celebrate a more inclusive world of reading together!

Drop by your local Norfolk library or visit King's Lynn Library today to explore the display. Staff are always on hand to help you find the perfect format for you.
