The Bridge For Heroes

The Bridge For Heroes Supporting the Armed Forces Community in King's Lynn, West Norfolk and the surrounding area.

All our services are free for veterans and their immediate families. Based in the centre of King's Lynn, Norfolk, The Bridge For Heroes operates a drop in Centre where those who served, or are serving, are welcome to call in for a hot drink, a meal, a chat with other people who have shared similar experiences or to access any of our support services. We aim to provide a bridge between military service and civilian life, helping people avoid feelings of Isolation, loneliness and depression by giving them opportunities to meet with other people who have shared similar experiences as well as more extensive support if it is required. For many of our beneficiaries a chat with some friendly banter over a brew is all they want from us, while others may benefit from the many other services that we can provide. We can offer a wide range of support, guidance and advice on issues such as accessing Service Records, Housing, Readjustment, Respite, Medal Applications, Finance and more. There are no waiting lists for any beneficiary, direct and immediate support is part of our ethos. If you or anyone that you know might benefit from our services we would love to hear from you.

πŸ’™ Project Nourish & Connect πŸ’™

At The Bridge for Heroes, we know that loneliness and isolation can have a real impact on wellbeing. That’s why part of Project Nourish & Connect is all about creating opportunities for social connection, friendship and peer support. 🀝

Through regular activities, companionship and daily routines, we aim to strengthen wellbeing, build confidence and develop resilience... helping people feel connected, valued and supported within the armed forces community. 🌱

We’re incredibly grateful for the support that is helping us make this possible.

πŸ™ Thank you to the Norfolk Community Foundation for supporting Project Nourish & Connect through the Connecting Older People Fund.

Together, we can help reduce loneliness, build friendships and create a stronger, more connected community. πŸ’™
