Reform-led Durham council cut off funding to the annual Pride celebrations.

So trade unions launched a fundraiser to save it, eventually raising more money than was cut.

Which means this year's Pride will be bigger than ever.

In the 1980s, the LGBT+ community raised thousands of pounds to help striking miners and their families.

When we stick up for each other, we can achieve anything.

Reform UK’s Makerfield by-election candidate Robert Kenyon previously claimed women “can’t ref, drive or give directions” and get abortions for “vanity purposes.”

The 41-year-old self-employed plumber claimed that women rely on abortions so they "s**g anyone they want."

The i Paper reports that he also declared "I'm sexist, sorry but I am."

Reform have dismissed the comments as "locker room banter" and that Kenyon is "entitled to his own opinions about abortion."

Please vote for Debs Heneghan this Thursday 7th May for King's Lynn North and Central.

Debs says:
"I am standing on my values – of fairness and equality. If elected, I would serve our residents not my party politics. Councillors are here to serve local people, not their own ego or narrow self-interest. Having spoken to and listened to residents I have made pledges based on what is important to local people and what is achievable in the short time the county council will exist. Please consider voting for me on 7th May to be your county councillor"
