This years Summer Reading Challenge has been a great success with lots of young readers enjoying lots of books during the school holidays. The Challenge finishes this coming Saturday 12 September. Medals and certificates will be awarded to those who completed the Challenge so remember to call into the library this week if you haven’t already to let us know the Challenge was met! We are open today Monday 2-5pm, Wednesday 2-5pm and Saturday 9.30-12noon. The Volunteers have really enjoyed seeing the library full of eager readers. Well done!

The Library will be closed on 16, 19 and 21 September. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. The Village Hall is having new flooring fitted during this period so access will be unavailable. If you have books to return you can drop them into any library in Warwickshire and they will be sent back to Kineton Library for you. If you need to contact us we can be reached by email to [email protected]. The Library will be open on Wednesday 23 September 2-5pm. Thank you.

The Summer Reading Challenge has arrived in Kineton Library! This years theme is "Read to the Beat". The Challenge is for 4-11 year olds and simply involves reading 6 books borrowed from the Library during the school summer holidays. Be rewarded with a certificate and a medal as well as stickers, a treasure hunt and lots of other fun stuff including games and activities on the Summer Reading Challenge website. Children who are not already members of the Warwickshire Library Service can register for free on their first visit. Kineton Library is open Mondays and Wednesdays 2-5pm and on Saturdays 9.30am - 12. Let's 'Keep Reading' during the school holidays.

Kineton Library is pleased to support the Kineton Literary Society who have an excellent run of author talks over the summer. You can attend a one off session for just £3 or have an annual membership for £25. Events include a glass of w**e, teas and coffees and run from 8-10pm in Kineton Village Hall. The author for 7 May is Joanna Lawrie, The Machinations Series- Writing and Creating a Technothriller. The talks are very relaxed and informal and you don’t need to have read any books in advance!

The Library is closed on Saturday 25 April 2026 to enable it to be used by KADs during their production of ‘Ladies Night’. We wish them every success with this production.

We will also be closed on Monday 4 May and Monday 25 May which are Bank Holidays.

We are open tomorrow’s Saturday 18 April 9.30-12 and on Monday 20 and Wednesday 22 April 2-5pm.

Our team of volunteers look forward to seeing you at your local village library.
