As we go into National Volunteers Week, we'd like to give a huge shout out of thanks and appreciation to the amazing volunteers involved with us at Kimberley Town Council.

To Eric and Margaret who volunteer with us tending the towns garden areas and keep them looking lovely and cared for.
To Barry, Graham and Marie who volunteer with us as part of the Events Committee, and assist in helping out with events alongside our Councillors.
To Clare and Gaynor who also volunteer at our events to assist on the day.
To Mike and everyone else who has joined us over the last 2 and half years on community litter picks.

All of us here at Kimberley Town Council say
Thank you! We are truly grateful to have an amazing team of community minded, selfless people on board!

We're sharing a quick message from our local Police team about reporting crimes:

In an emergency or if someone is in danger PLEASE dial 999.

To report all other types of crimes please dial 101. This allows the local police to team to log details, build a case and provides information useful to investigating the crimes reported.
This includes but is not limited to issues of speeding, anti-social behaviour(where there isn't a threat to persons) and vandalism.

Reporting to your local Councillors might seem the right thing to do, but they have to report the issue via 101 just like members of the public, so you are always better off doing it yourself so you can ensure all the details are logged correctly. Local Councillors don't have a direct line to the police or the authority to order them to respond to a report of a crime.

By reporting through the 101 process this maintains the correct procedures that allows our local police team to carry out their duties.
If in doubt, call 101.

Last night at our Annual Town Council meeting Councillor Nick Dewsbury was elected as the Mayor of Kimberley for the 2026/27 Council year and Councillor Sam Boneham was elected as Deputy Mayor for the same year.

Our thanks to Councillor Tony Mason and Councillor Neil Doherty who served the previous term as Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively, your hard work and diligence is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Councillors Dewsbury and Boneham on their appointments.

As Mayor, Councillor Dewsbury will continue the tradition of raising money for local good causes, attending to Civic duties and chairing our Full Council meetings.

We look forwarded to another good year for Kimberley under your leadership.
