Before you decide who is going to conduct your marriage ceremony please do your research. 🔎

Here at Burns Monument Ceremonies we are seeing an increase in couples who have chosen a celebrant to conduct their ceremony and find out just before the ceremony that their celebrant can’t legally marry them. They need to pop along to the registrar’s office and “do the legal bit”

Firstly, as registrars we never just “do the legal bit” you need to go through a ceremony and this is your "real wedding", and the date that would appear on any legal documents. We are also really busy with our own ceremonies and you may need to wait some time before we can accommodate you.📆

There are many celebrants out there that can legally marry you just please do your research before you make the choice. ✨
