The Thames Valley LGBT+ Police Network has been established with the support of Thames Valley Police. the Thames Valley LGBT+ Police Network aims to provide a local staff support network for both LGBT+ and non-LGBT members of the organisation. We supports the LGB&T communities accross the Thames Valley Police area which includes Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. It was lau

nched on 21 March 2007 as the gay police association and was renamed in 2014. It has an executive committee elected by members from accross the Thames Valley Police area. What Thames Valley LGBT+ Police Network can do for our LGBT+ members of staff;

- Provide information, options and confidential support for example,
during the 'coming out' process.
- Make specific First Contact Officer support available.
- Make sure your voice is heard
- Provide a regular newsletter
- Host regular local drop in social events to assist networking and remove
feelings of isolation

What Thames Valley LGBT+ Police Network offers for non LGBT+ members of staff;
- Confidential advice and support.
- Provide information to help you support colleagues, for example during
their ‘coming out' process.
- Offer consultation to assist you in dealing with instances of
inappropriate behaviour towards gay colleagues.
- Offer assistance to deal with welfare situations.
