I guess I’d better write something. The story of the Kidlington town / village was resurrected by the Oxford Mail on 19th August - and their version was published once again. Considering that this all happened in 1987 they must have been very short of news.

Facebook keep nagging me to write a post regarding my time as mayor of Kidlington.

I won’t go into too much detail at present, only to say that Kidlington is still a ‘town’, despite attempts in the 1980’s to turn it back into a ‘village’.

This might be a useful tool to seriously counter the proposed housing developments around our ‘town’ if anyone wants to dig up the past history of Kidlington parish/town council.

Many people will refuse to believe this, but, as the saying goes, it’s from the horses mouth. I was there. I was the mayor. 😁
