2386 (Keynsham) Squadron has 20-25 cadets who meet at the Army Reserve Centre just off the A4 in Keynsham. The cadets meet every Tuesday and Friday from 1900 until 2130. The Squadron is organised into Flights to enable inter-flight competitiveness in as many activities as possible. The more a cadet participates and achieves the more points they will earn for their flight and themselves. When cadet

s first start at the squadron they are put into C Flight where as probationary cadets they will carry out basic instruction until they have passed their First Class training. We have access to a shooting range, local flying and gliding and many sporting and adventurous activities. There is usually at least one additional activity taking place on a weekend a month. We are always keen to hear from potential new recruits; cadets as well as adult volunteers. Please contact us to find out more about joining.

Remembrance 2025.

Last weekend cadets and staff from 2386 (Keynsham) participated in the annual parade through Keynsham high street, supported by the band of 93 City of Bath Sqn.

The parade was a huge success with a large turnout from the local community.

🎉 We’ve Moved In – And It’s Official! 🏠

After an incredible 3½-year journey, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve finally received the keys to our brand-new, purpose-built Joint Cadet Centre!

The brand-new Keynsham JCC is a flagship development under the Ministry of Defence’s Reserve Estate Optimisation Programme (REOP) – a major milestone and an inspiring collaboration between the RAF Air Cadets and the Army Cadets.

This cutting-edge facility marks a bold new chapter for our cadets, who are buzzing with excitement to begin training in their new home. It’s more than just a building – it’s the future of cadet life in Keynsham.

🎉 It’s Volunteers’ Week! 🎉

We are proud to be taking part in Volunteers’ Week 2025, saying thank you to all of our Volunteers across the country, for making the RAFAC experience happen.

This week we will be highlighting the different roles our volunteers undertake, to ensure all of our RAF Air Cadets have an unforgettable experience. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do!

Last month the Squadron held its annual presentation evening celebrating the achievements of the cadets over the last 12 months.

We welcomed cadets, parents, friends of the Squadron and the Bristol & Gloucestershire Wing Commander.

Cadet’s were presented with awards and certificates of achievements, these included Best Cadet, Best NCO, Best Attendance, Best Recruit & Best Flight. Congratulations to all the winners.

2025 is looking like another busy year with cadets already completing training and learning new skills.

Also, this year we are please to say that work has almost been completed on the new Joint Cadet Centre. We hope to have the keys to our new home early spring!

Remembrance Parade 2024

Today, Cadets and staff participated in the Remembrance Parade in Keynsham, supported by the band of 93 City of Bath Squadron RAF Air Cadets. The Parade was a great success, with a fantastic turnout from the local community.

Well done to all the Cadets, you should all be very proud of yourselves!

Last weekend the Cadets were at Keynsham High Street Poppy selling.
