We were so proud to attend an event at Number 10 Downing Street to help champion the power of play.

At Wicksteed, we believe every child deserves the right to play — regardless of their background, ability or where they live. Inclusive, engaging and thoughtfully designed play spaces give children opportunities to explore, build confidence, develop friendships and simply enjoy being children.

It’s so important that the value of play remains at the forefront of conversations around communities, childhood and wellbeing, and we’re proud to be part of a day helping raise awareness of just how essential play is for children and families.

Our amazing team came together to design, manufacture and install a specially themed piece of play equipment, along with a bespoke Elephant Springy, in just five working days right here at our Kettering HQ. 💚

Created for a very special event at Number 10 Downing Street, this project showcased the passion, creativity and expertise that goes into everything we do.

We can't wait to share more with you and reveal the play equipment that brought smiles to so many families on Global Parents Day.

Spotted in North Yorkshire… a true piece of Wicksteed history 💚🐴

It’s always special seeing our iconic rocking horses still standing proudly in communities decades later — a reminder of the generations of children who have climbed aboard, held on tight and made memories through play.

It’s fantastic to see pupils enjoying the play area once again, supporting active play, friendship and outdoor fun for years to come.

After months of waiting for our Wicksteed set to be moved, rebuilt and approved, we finally got the go ahead to reopen it.

The children are thrilled to be able to use it again and are taking every opportunity get outside and play.

A really special morning at Plumbley Park for the opening of Elemie’s Park yesterday 💗

Seeing families enjoying a space that Wicksteed helped bring to life was incredibly meaningful. More than just a playground, this is a space created through community spirit, kindness and determination — a lasting tribute to Elemie that will bring joy to children and families for many years to come.

It was wonderful to see the community come together alongside Sheffield City Council and the Friends of Group to celebrate the opening of such an important space for local families.

Here’s to many happy memories, adventures and moments of play ahead 🌳

We’re incredibly proud to see this beautifully renovated Wicksteed roundabout, originally assembled back in 1933, continuing to bring joy to the community over 90 years later.

Moments like this are a wonderful reminder of the craftsmanship, durability and heritage that have shaped Wicksteed for 150 years.

It’s fantastic to see a piece of play history carefully restored and ready to create even more memories for future generations 🫶
