Today we are celebrating Day, a national campaign established in 2020 to recognise and thank the incredible research teams who work together to develop new diagnostics, treatments and innovations that improve patient care. ❤️ 🔴 🟥

Research is not carried out by individuals working in isolation. It is made possible through collaboration between colleagues, organisations and patients across the world, all working towards better outcomes for people now and in the future. Our fantastic research teams will be marking the occasion by wearing red and reflecting on the impact of their work across Morecambe Bay.

Better breathing for Bentham residents 🫁💨

Bentham residents struggling with chronic lung conditions now have access to a programme of Pulmonary Rehabilitation thanks to the Morecambe Bay Respiratory Network and UHMBT!

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme is being delivered in Bentham Town Hall to bring evidence-based, best practice treatment to the doorstep of Bentham residents.

Completing the course can lead to improvements in breathlessness, walking distance, mood, better self-management, as well as reducing flare-ups of the condition and use of urgent or emergency NHS services.
