Hi, well the sun is shining and it’s been lovely in the community garden.

Please could I ask anyone who has a community bed to confirm by the end of March please that they are continuing with their bed for this year (2025).

The orchard is being planted tomorrow Sunday 1:00 - 3:00, all help welcome.

Tom, our resident expert will be there tomorrow also to offer any advice. Please come along and have a chat.

Also not forgetting our environmental event next Sunday 16th at the village hall making bird boxes and bug hotels with free pie and peas.

Road Closure Planned for 18th to 20th February (inclusive)

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
EARBY ROAD, SALTERFORTH, PENDLE BOROUGH
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order
under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this
notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of
Earby Road, Salterforth from its junction with Mill Cottages to its junction
with Gateland.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of
the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0730 hours on Tuesday 18th
February 2025 until 1930 hours on Thursday 20th February 2025 or until
completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and
wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be
maintained. Emergency services access will be maintained whenever
and wherever possible.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Salterforth Road – Colne Road – Kelbrook Road and vice versa
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow a new water connection to be
carried out.
