A few years ago, BT offered Parish Councils the chance to buy the K6 phone boxes for £1 - mainly to get them off of BT's hands. After a few years of not knowing what to do with the one in Cowling, CPC had decided to get rid of it. After a bit of persuasion, they have given the phone box a stay of ex*****on. Work will start in the next few weeks, and the phone box may even move to a better location

in the village. In the meantime - watch this space for more developments. Any donations (books, help) will be very happily received too!
