🎃👻 A Keele Halloween Mystery... Can You Help? 👻🎃

The Special Collections & Archives holds several press cuttings relating to Haunted, a short-lived supernatural television series starring Patrick Mower, parts of which were filmed at Keele in 1967.

Newspaper reports tell us that a team from A.B.C. Television visited the University on 2 February 1967 and returned on 30 March 1967. Filming reportedly took place by the lakeside and outside the Vice-Chancellor's building, where a vintage Rolls-Royce was used.

Despite checking our student publications from the period, we've found very little else about the production. Adding to the mystery, no episodes of the series are known to survive today.

As Halloween approaches, we're wondering if anyone remembers the filming or knows anything about Haunted's visit to Keele.

A huge thank you again to all first year undergraduate HKVS students who ventured down the hill in the rain today to play Escape [to] the Library's Locked Box Game. 🙏

It was very close right up to the very last set of teams, so after 2 days of events, 6 groups, 25 teams and 121 players, the winning team are... 🪘

"Cadaver? I Barely Know Her!" who managed to unlock their box in 20 mins 31 secs and identify and retrieve the correct bone for Charlie, our canine friend. 🐾

Congratulations, team! 🏆And thanks for playing! 🤩

A huge thank you to all first year undergraduate Vet School students who ventured down into your Library today to play Escape [to] the Library's Locked Box Escape Game! 🙏

Each team had to complete a clinical case inside OneNote, unlock all the password protected sections to find the combination to a locked jar of keys to unlock the box on their table containing... well, we can't spoil that as there are still teams to play. 🙊

The team with the fastest time by the end of next week's groups will win a prize! 🤩
