Out & About (OAA) Upcoming Events & Ways to Support Us 💛
We always try to keep our activities as low-cost as possible, funding things whenever we can! Every penny raised goes right back into keeping our community thriving—from tea, coffee, and snacks to arts, crafts, and helping members get connected. Where isolation ends, community begins!
Important Note on Payments
* Please note that all payments are non-refundable as we are a Community Interest Company (CIC).
Halloween Party Buffet Appeal! 🎃
Can you help us with our Halloween party buffet? We would be over the moon for any food donations or supermarket vouchers to help stock the table!
* How to donate: Drop items off during any of our regular drop-in sessions (see times below).
* Who to ask for: Just ask for the OAA staff. If they aren't right there, simply ask for Jules and let them know it's for Out and About Northeast CIC.
* Note: This applies to both immediate and future donations too—we genuinely couldn't do this without our wonderful community! Thank you so much to each and every one of you.
Regular Drop-In Sessions
* Mondays (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
* Location: Jarrow Mindset, 78 Ellison Street, Jarrow, NE32 3JX (just ask for OAA staff!)
* Cost: £1.50 entry
* Details: Join us for arts and crafts, a good chat, and a chance to make friends. Includes hot drinks (with refillable refills!) and snacks.
* Notice: We are closed this Monday the 9th as we are away on our camping trip!
* Saturdays (3:30 PM – 6:30 PM)
* Location: Jarrow Mindset, 78 Ellison Street, Jarrow, NE32 3JX (just ask for OAA staff!)
* Details: Our Saturday drop-ins resume on October 3rd, running from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM (and every Saturday after) for a chat, friendly faces, and a welcoming community space.
Upcoming Events Calendar
* OAA Camping Trip
* When: This weekend, 5th – 7th September
* Cost: £10 per person
* Status: Fully booked and paid for!
* Fortnightly Dog Walk (New!)
* When: Starts Saturday, 12th September @ 12:00 PM (and every fortnight after)
* Where: Meeting outside The Dunes, South Shields
* Details: Bring your pups along or just join us for a great walk!
* OAA Bowling
* When: Saturday, 19th September @ 1:00 PM
* Where: The Dunes, South Shields
* Details: Enjoy an afternoon of bowling followed by food together afterwards for anyone who wants to stay.
* OAA Adult Sports
* When: Last Sunday of every month, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM @ Bilton Hall
* Cost: £5 (cash please)
* Details: Football, fun games, and a welcoming vibe. Fully disability-friendly and at your own pace—walk, crawl, or just have a laugh! Rain or shine (bring a brolly). Let us know if you're coming.
* Psycho Path Trip (External Booking)
* When: Saturday, 3rd October
* Details: Tickets are selling fast and have been booked online via the official Psycho Path website.
* OAA Halloween Fancy Dress Party
* When: Sunday, 18th October from 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
