HM Coastguard Benbecula paged by MRCC Stornoway following a report of an item washed up on a beach on the Isle of Benbecula.
The item was located and identified and the relevant information passed to MRCC Stornoway.

HM Coastguard Benbecula SO made a Christmas visit to Portree today and laid a wreath for our late Sector Manager Roger Baillie.

HM Coastguard Benbecula and HM Coastguard - Lochboisdale Coastguard Rescue Team paged by MRCC Stornoway to prepare a Helicopter Landing Site and assist in the transfer of a casualty to Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R948 on Isle of South Uist. A multi agency tasking with Police Scotland Highland & Islands, Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
