North Ayrshire's Adult Protection Committee, Child Protection Committee, Drug and Alcohol Partnership, Multi-agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) and Violence Against Women Partnership (VAWP) all have a critical role to play in public protection. We work together to monitor and review what is happening locally to keep adults and children safe. The committees are made up of senior staff fr
om agencies involved in protecting adults and children at risk of harm, including North Ayrshire Council, NHS Ayrshire & Arran, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue and Third Sector organisations and groups. This page is run by North Ayrshire's Child Protection, Adult Protection and the Alcohol and Drug Partnership Lead Officers. It aims to promote awareness to our community members and community groups about how we can safeguard vulnerable adults and children, as well as inviting your views about how we can all work better together. We'll also keep you updated about the work we are doing and share information about how to recognise when an adult or child is at risk of harm and how to share your concerns.
