Support Your Local Parish Council
As part of local government reorganisation, Worcester City Council is undertaking a Community Governance Review. One option being considered is the creation of a Worcester Town Council, which could see Warndon Villages absorbed into a much larger authority.
Your Parish Council believes that decisions affecting Warndon Villages should continue to be made locally by people who know and understand our community. We believe local democracy works best when it remains close to residents.

Our Parish Warden arranged for the Worcester City Council Cleaning Team to attend and jet wash the 'White gates' at the entrance to Warndon Villages on Plantation Drive. What a great job they have made! The gates are a reminder to motorists they are entering a 30mph zone. Our speed monitoring devices show on an average day an unbelievable 2600 motorists are driving in excess of the speed limit on this road. A PLEA TO ALL RESIDENTS please observe the speed limit throughout the area.

“Should Warndon Villages keep its own Parish Council? We think yes – but Worcester City Council wants to hear from you”

Dear Resident,

For over 40 years, Warndon Villages Parish Council has represented and served our community.

As part of local government reorganisation, Worcester City Council is undertaking a Community Governance Review. One option being considered is the creation of a large Worcester Town Council, which could see Warndon Villages absorbed into a much larger authority.

Your Parish Council believes that decisions affecting Warndon Villages should continue to be made locally by people who know and understand our community. We believe local democracy works best when it remains close to residents. The only other Parish Council within the City boundary is St Peter the Great which has the same view.

For just £31.28 per year for a Band D property, your Parish Council helps protect and improve our green spaces, supports Lyppard Hub and local organisations, manages Mabbs Close Allotments, maintains defibrillators and speed awareness signs, comments on planning applications, and is delivering a Neighbourhood Plan to help shape the future of our area.

The Parish Council has formally resolved that Warndon Villages should remain an independent parish council. We now need residents to make their views known.

Please take a few minutes to complete the Community Governance Review consultation, the deadline for responding is 15th June.

Every response matters.

Thank you for your support.
