The Suffolk Family Information Service offers free advice about childcare, early education for 2,3 and 4 year olds, and a range of services for your family. We can help you choose the type of childcare most suited to you and your child's needs. We provide support by phone and email, and through our Family Services Directory (FSD) website: www.suffolk.gov.uk/fsd which allows parents to search for c
hildcare online (for free, no need to register). Our friendly staff can help you search for childcare providers in your local area which include a detailed list of ALL Ofsted registered day nurseries, pre-schools and childminders, closest to you. We also offer extra help to families who are struggling to find a childcare place. Childcare Information available includes:
- Name and contact details of the childcare
provider;
- Type of childcare provider;
- Age range catered for;
- Number of places offered;
- Opening hours;
- Fees (where available);
- Ofsted registration nom of childcare provider
and whether they have gained a good Ofsted
rating (where available). We can let you know when your 3 year old is entitled to their free early education place and help you check online if your 2 year old is eligible for free childcare.
