The park is managed by Ipswich Borough Council https://www.ipswich.gov.uk/services/christchurch-park

The Friends of Christchurch Park is a voluntary organisation looking to support the park by arranging events and promoting this beautiful open space in the heart of the town. The Friends were formed in 1998 and our objectives are:

to secure the preservation, protection and improvement of the Park

as a place of historic and ecological interest, beauty, tranquillity, rest and recreation;

to promote the conservation of the natural plant, animal and bird life in the Park;

to encourage appropriate use of the Park through a range of activities;

to educate the public in the history, natural history and other aspects of the Park.

I'm inviting Ipswich to come together for a community picnic next Friday 19th June.

It's taking place in Christchurch Park, 3.30pm-6.30pm, as part of the Great Get Together's 10th anniversary.

Come along, bring your picnic, and share food and stories with your family, friends and neighbours.

Our Ipswich Solar Party is back on the 27th June between 10am - 3pm! ☀️

Explore the Sun through real telescopes and other equipment, as we are joined by experts from the Orwell Astronomical Society who will astound you with their knowledge and equipment! 🔭

This event is FREE to all and suitable for ages 5+ but all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult during the event.
