Unfortunately Suffolk County Council have banned us from telling you what’s in their top secret report about the legal and procedural propriety of the decision making process around their decision to judicially review the Government’s decision on local government reorganisation. What could they have to hide? We’re calling for a version of the report, with any legally privileged information redacted, to be published by the end of the week but given they’ve refused to even engage with the local press, we may be disappointed.

Cllr Elaine Bryce met with Westerfield Parish Council and Suffolk County Council officers to discuss key safety improvements for Westerfield, including dangerous parking near the level crossing, accessibility, and speeding on Lower Road and Church Lane.

Ann Widdecombe was a formidable politician who was never afraid to speak her mind and fought hard for what she believed.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this heartbreaking time.

Rest in peace, Ann.
