DRESS CODE
As you know, we are a school with a dress code standard which is met by almost all of our pupils on a daily basis.
We know maintaining dress code standards contributes to the positive and industrious ethos which prevails throughout the school, and it is commented on positively by visitors to the school and by members of the local community who see Millburn pupils making their way to school each day.
Furthermore we believe preparing for the day ahead and attending school smartly dressed sets good habits for life. It also makes changing into comfortable clothes at the end of the day all the more enjoyable.
Pupils sitting exams in recent weeks have been afforded the opportunity to dress comfortably with dress code standard relaxed for the duration of the exam diet.
This week, with the new 2026/27 timetable in operation, high standards of dress code apply across all year groups and ask for your support in helping young people to wear dress code items daily.
Dress code is black or black and white and consists of hoodies, sweatshirts, zippies, polo shirts and tee shirts embroidered with the school logo. Trousers/skirts should also be black.
Pupils may choose to wear a black or white shirt with a school tie rather than an embroidered item, and indeed many do. School badges are available to pin onto dress code items and are available from the Office, priced ยฃ1.50.
Sports shorts and sports leggings should be worn only in PE with a change brought for other classes.
Please note: we have a supply of school wear items generously provided by our local Tesco store which are available without charge. Please contact your childโs Guidance Teacher in the first instance if this would be helpful.
