I’m excited to share that I’m running for the Citrus County School Board, District 3.
With 35 years in Florida public education, I’m ready to continue serving our community and supporting our schools.
I began my career after earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts & Technology and receiving my commission as a U.S. Army 2nd Lieutenant. I served on active duty in the Army Corps of Engineers, holding roles including Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Battalion Intelligence Officer, and Battalion Maintenance Officer, and was promoted to Captain.
After my military service, I returned to my passion—public education. I taught middle and high school courses including Graphic Arts, Photography, Electronics, and Woodworking, and coached football, softball, basketball, and golf. I also became a certified school bus driver, supporting athletics, field trips, and daily routes.
In 1995, I moved to Citrus County and continued teaching and coaching before transitioning into school administration. My leadership roles included:
• Assistant Principal, Lecanto High School (1998)
• Principal, Citrus High School (2001–2005)
• Executive Director of Support Services, overseeing construction, maintenance, transportation, purchasing, and food services
• Assistant Superintendent of School Operations (2011–2023), responsible for 22 schools, K–12 curriculum, technology, and district finance
I retired in 2023 after a fulfilling career dedicated to students, teachers, and families. Now, I’m ready to bring that experience to the School Board and continue working for the success of every child in Citrus County.
