Annie's Nursery is situated in the centre of Insch, Aberdeenshire and offers an excellent quality childcare in the heart of the community. Annie's is a small nursery which is managed by Ashleigh Christie. The staff team are friendly, caring and dedicated to making a difference to families in Insch and surrounding areas. We offer a personal touch in a home from home nurturing environment. We believ

e that building confidence and self-esteem are the tools that enable a child to progress in all areas of their development. Our cook provides healthy home-made food and encourages the children to get involved with making healthy choices. We source food locally and cater for any dietary requirements. Annie's Nursery is registered to care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. We have two rooms to cater for all the children's needs with a spacious front and back garden where children enjoy outdoor play everyday. The team are experienced in this age group and offer a wide range of activities to promote brain development at this crucial age. The Butterfly Room caters for children aged 2-5 years, where staff work together to provide and enriched and enabling environment. All staff develop learning programmes to suit individual needs. Our aim is to ensure every child is challenged to reach their full potential.

SPACES AVAILABLE!

We have spaces available in our 0-2 year old room. This is due to a larger than normal amount of children transitioning into our 2-5 room.

We are doing a wee special offer from now until the end of September …. if you sign up for a space in the 0-2 room during this time you will receive 10% off your 1st 3 months invoices (subject to ts and cs)

We are also doing recommend a friend, so if you recommend a friend and they join the nursery, you both get £100 off your 2 months invoice!

Why choose our nursery over all the other out there???
Because we are a small nursery with only 9 children in our 0-2 room and 16 in our 2-5 room. We provide a homely environment with home cooked meals and playrooms that are small but homely. In our 2-5 room children are often supported with more staff than is normal (1 adult to 5 children rather than 1 to 8. )

UPDATE! AUGUST 2024
Sorry for the lack of posts the past few months. We have been transitioning into a new era for Annie's Nursery. We have a new manager and have been doing a lot of work to upgrade and develop the nursery.

Below are some of the changes we have made so far....
- Re-induction of all staff making use of the national induction resource.
- Complete re-design of our playrooms using best practice like 'Realising the Ambition, Being Me'
- New resources in both playrooms.
- New planning system based on best practice guidance like 'Realising the Ambition, Being Me' and 'Curriculum for Excellence best practice from Education Scotland'
- Use of the 'Famly' system to keep parents informed on their child's day.

Some plans for the future are...
- Re-decoration of both playrooms
- New upgraded nappy changing area that will be more nurturing and calming.
- New updated sleep area for the 2-5 years room.

We look forward to keeping you up to date with our progress and development and none of this would be possible without the loyalty, hard work and support from our nursery families, the staff in the nursery and our owners Tanya and Tommy.

Annie's nursery is a small private nursery of 25 children. We are looking for a cook Monday to Friday 9.30am to 1.30pm. If you are interested and you have experience of working in a kitchen, cooking and baking, please get in touch.

At Annie’s nursery we have been focusing on “Healthy Henry” and we are teaching the children about healthy eating and providing lots of healthy meals at snack time and lunch time, we also are encouraging exercise by giving the children lots of experiences outside and also doing some fun yoga☺️

We recently had our annual Care Inspectorate Insepction over the last week of July to which we were thrilled to welcome Susan our instructor back and show her the hard work and improvements we had made between September last year and now☺️

Our official report for our recent inspection has now been published and can be found on the Care Inspectorate Website, I have also popped each page below for those who would like the read the report🌟

I am beyond proud of the setting and the improvements we have made not only in the short 10 months between the inspections but over my two and half years here👏🏼 a HUGE pat on the back and well done to all involved from the staff, children and all of our super parents🤍

🍕‼️ We are super lucky today as we had Big Mannys' Pizza into nursery🍕‼️

The children all got the opportunity to make, stretch and feel the pizza bases, decorate their pizzas and of course eat our pizzas for lunch🥰
