We were thrilled to welcome Sam Usher to the library today. His wonderful books and illustrations brought so much excitement to our visitors. Thank you to everyone who popped in — we love seeing our community come together for moments like this.

The fantastic author and illustrator, Sam Usher, will be at Ilminster Library from 10-12pm on Saturday 30th May. Sam will be demonstrating his watercolour techniques and signing books with a flourish.

There will be the opportunity to be inspired by Sam's technique using watercolour pencils, the school holiday treasure hunt and a craft activity available.

As the 5G signal in Ilminster is notoriously flaky, please bring some cash to buy your own signed book, in collaboration with The Snug Bookshop and Cafe

In addition to the Friends of Ilminster Libraries coffee morning at Somerset Libraries Ilminster this Saturday, it is also the International Harry Potter book day. In addition to tasty cakes and coffee, there will be a Harry Potter themed craft and an opportunity to write a short Harry Potter story to be displayed in the library.

Don't forget to bring cash for the coffee and cakes! Hope to see you there
